Let's see...recent developments: we were in Cheraw for Labor Day, where M came down with a virus that later resulted in a terrible diaper rash. I feel like I have been consumed with tending to dirty diapers and a sore bottom for the past few weeks, but all is much better now. The boys and I have been vaccinated for the seasonal flu; Daddy still needs to get his shot. Nurses sure are wonderful people; how did I ever think I could have been a medical professional?!
I am still running a good bit, up to 9 miles for my long runs on weekends. The Thunder Road half marathon is in December and I am enjoying the training, especially since I do most of it with Melanie!
Baby M said his first word last weekend ~ "da-da!" He pointed right at Daddy and grinned after he said it. What a sweet moment. Makes him seem like less and less of a baby. I am thinking of starting him on whole milk in early October, so maybe he'll be weaned by his first birthday. We'll see.
N has been more and more affectionate with his baby brother lately, hugging him, patting his head, holding his hand. It is such a blessing to see their brotherhood grow. Seems like I've been doing a lot of "refereeing" the past few months as M has tried to get into everything N is playing with, and N's response hasn't always been so friendly.
Well, that's about all I know here...both boys are asleep after a busy morning at Bible study...I think I'll put my feet up, read and sleep a bit while it's quiet.
