Late Summer

We've been back in our routine for a few weeks now, although if I close my eyes for a minute I can be right back on the beach...waves crashing, breeze blowing, boys playing with seashells.

Here's N playing Daddy's guitar last weekend.

And here's handsome M reading his butterfly book.

Yesterday we visited my friend Colleen and she let us watch as she cut her son's hair. This morning, I tried my hand as a hair stylist. Things went remarkably well for a first attempt, I think.

More beach pics

Our last night on the beach after a rainy afternoon

We tried to get N to put his arm around baby M, but this was the closest we got.

Toss me up again, Daddy!

"I hope I don't have to go in the ocean."

Scoping out the beach

Getting wet

Hard at work

Dipping toes in the ocean - I think I was much wetter than he was after this.

Rolling on the sandy beach blanket

Happy boy in the sand

Another happy boy

Probably getting ready to run

The "shark tank" where N finally decided he could put his feet in the water, too

M at 9 months

Baby M is 9 months old now. He is pulling up a lot, beginning to feed himself, and eating more table food. Changing his diaper is like wrestling a wild animal most times - he would rather be moving than doing just about anything else! He has taken a liking to some books about farm animals, and one in particular called "Goodnight, Sweet Butterflies." He loves his Daddy and just giggles and squeals as soon as he gets home.

N is currently enthralled with "Curious George Flies a Kite." He continues to serenade us each evening at dinner with various songs and rhymes. Every afternoon around 5:30 he zooms around the house, pushing his cars and trucks.
