One Winter Day with Clover

We had the pleasure of dog-sitting for our friends' dog, Clover, for about 5 days - just long enough for all of us to fall in love with her and become convinced that one day, we could add a dog to our family!  She was a real sweetheart.

While she was with us, we had a snowy afternoon.  In fact, I was halfway through a walk with her when it started blowing down all around us.

She and I were glad to get in the warm, dry house. The boys were equally thrilled to be out in the snow. They had quite the adventure.

There was even a bit of snow soccer.

The trucks turned into snow plows and paths were cleared, including roadways on the deck.

We were all a little sad to see our new friend go, but we know she was glad to get back to her own family.  She's welcome here anytime!

We had a couple of days off from school last week, and the kids had fun snacking on their Valentine treats. We also visited the park and the library, and the boys learned to play UNO.

We made these silly, sweet "love bugs" and the boys put me in "the trap of forever hugging."  I am still asking to be put in that trap as often as possible.
