I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. Philippians 4:12-13
Nathan dressed up as Skippyjon Jones for the Book Character Parade at school today! One of his aunts, who is far more crafty than I, and very generous with her time, crafted the costume for him. Nathan recommends reading the book because "Skippyjon has lots of hilarious adventures!"
If the first snow was great, the second snow was truly amazing. We never expect to get more than an inch or two, maybe once a year. This was a three-day snow storm that left us with about 6 inches of snow to play in.
Enough for sledding down the hill behind our neighbor's house all morning!
The long walk home ended with something warm to drink, I am sure.
Yes, we had a season of snow here this winter. It made the children smile a lot! These pictures are from the first snow...I think it was in late January or early February. I can't quite remember - it has since melted away.
We got out the Thomas train set and the magnets to play with when we weren't in the snow.
The boys insisted in getting right to work "shoveling" off the snow on the deck. They took this very seriously.
Of course, there were also snowballs to be thrown at their mother after their work was finished.
Erin the dog enjoyed being out in it for a little bit.
More photos to follow from the big three-day snowstorm that happened in mid-February!
