Last Tuesday I had just changed M's diaper and was getting a cup of hot chocolate in the kitchen when I looked in the den and saw him trying really hard to roll from his back to his tummy. Mission accomplished! He rolled onto the floor and had an excellent view of the bookcase, where we store a combination of books and toys. He seemed quite proud of himself!
Yesterday, N thought it would be fun to wear his LSU cap. I don't think he realized LSU played a basketball game last night...and I'm not even sure if they won or not...but here's the little tiger showing his team spirit. M wore his as well, but it didn't stay on long enough for pictures.
I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. Philippians 4:12-13

Boys in Blue Jeans
These are my favorite Valentines! We spent a restful weekend at home after G returned from his work trip to NYC. We had a "big breakfast" Saturday morning and opened valentines that afternoon. One of the sweetest moments of the day was when I was nursing M and reading a book to N at the same time. About halfway through the feeding, M looked up and started laughing at a funny rhyme in the story. So precious!
G prepared a delicious steak and twice-stuffed baked potato dinner for just the two of us Saturday evening. We followed that up with a viewing of Fireproof. It was our kind of dinner date - romantic, quiet, comfortable and a fraction of the cost of a restaurant meal! I love my husband.
I enjoyed a few hours of "alone time" Sunday afternoon when G sent me out for a cup of coffee all by myself! It had been kind of a rough morning...I missed church to take care of N, who had been up in the middle of the night and was whiny and accident-prone all day. It was refreshing to have that quiet time to recharge. G was off Monday, so we caught up on some things around the house and played with the children a lot. I'm glad it's a short week...the boys are a little under the weather with colds, so I am praying they recover quickly.

Happy Boys
We have a little bit of snow on the ground again today! I kept waiting for it to warm up a little bit before taking N out to play, but I think I may have waited too long...it's melting as the boys nap. We spent the morning cleaning up around the house. N got a kick out of the "funny noise" the vacuum cleaner makes, and he "helped" me dust the furniture. It's neat that he wants to work with me now. If only it will last into his teenage years, I'll have it made!
This is what M does when I just talk to him - no tricks required at all.
Here's N when he was about 3 months old.
Here's what N does if you ask him to give you a big smile.
This is a real smile after the "pretend" one.

Daddy's Boy & Aunt M's wedding
M has really been enjoying his Daddy lately. It is so sweet to see him light up and smile when G talks to him. Last night, he "complained" through dinnertime until G picked him up and held him in his lap. They like to hang out together on the couch sometimes.
This past weekend was my sister M's wedding. Somehow, we only have two pictures from the weekend. Sorry, M! I guess we were juggling children and being matron-of-honor and groomsman instead of snapping photos. The wedding was held at this beautiful Revolutionary War-era Episcopal church in Cheraw. My sister was a beautiful and very graceful bride. She was so relaxed, too! Next week, we will be neighbors, and I can't wait.
On a personal note, I jogged about one mile this morning - my first run since I found out I was pregnant with M. I need to shake out the cobwebs, but other than that, it felt really good to be running again.
